The Opportunity to Help Independent Auctions Take Back Control

Independent auctions are at a turning point. For years, digital remarketing has been dominated by large platforms that control buyer access, data, and distribution. Recently, that reality became even more clear as independent auctions lost access to critical digital channels.

Carmigo is building the alternative. We are launching a White-Label Digital Marketplace that allows independent auctions to operate their own branded online sales channel, powered by Carmigo’s technology, buyer network, and infrastructure. This isn’t just software. It’s a shift in how independent auctions compete. 

The White-Label Digital Marketplace is pushing their auction, their brand and their marketplace. We’ve already built a marketplace that moves real cars. Now, we’re extending that capability to power independent auctions across the country. This role is at the center of that movement.

As an Auction Success Manager, you won’t just manage accounts, you’ll help launch, grow, and optimize digital marketplaces for auctions in your region. You’ll work directly with owners and operators to help them sell more cars, drive more demand, and compete at a higher level.

What You Will Do

New Business Development (20%)

  • Prospect: Assist the EVP of Auction Partnerships with sales calls
  • Onboarding: Organize resources to setup systems and prepare for launch
  • Launch: Host launch calls, onboard new partners, and host buyer awareness events to ensure time to first sale happens quickly

Account Management (80%)

  • Drive Volume: Collaborate with Auction Digital Directors and Sales Teams to maximize seller consignment and buyer bidding.
  • Strategic Optimization: Conduct monthly Strategic Reviews and weekly Tactical Reviews to ensure partners are hitting performance KPIs.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor monthly activity, set targets, and re-engage underperforming auctions.

Who You Are

  • Industry Veteran: You have 10+ years of auction sales experience specifically within the independent auction sector OR Dealership wholesale experience
  • Tech-Forward: You understand the shift toward digital remarketing and can articulate the value of an omnichannel approach
  • Road Warrior: You thrive on the move, enjoying the face-to-face nature of the auction industry with ability to travel up 75% of your time.
  • Self-Starter: You are disciplined enough to manage a large territory and motivated by the “win” of a successful launch.

About the Position

Dealer Sales Representatives work to find new dealerships that can use Carmigo’s platform as well as maintain relationships with current dealer customers.  Each DSR will be assigned a market and will work autonomously to build a network of dealers who will buy and sell their cars on Carmigo.  This position will require in-person visits to build and maintain relationships with dealers.

What You Will Do

New Business Development (50%)

  • Identify and create a “hit-list” of sellers who fit Carmigo’s seller profile
  • Visit and call dealerships that are in your market to sell Carmigo
  • Onboard new dealerships to use suite of Carmigo products

Existing Business Management (40%)

  • Understand each dealer’s wholesale preferences and come up with customized solution
  • Work with dealers to identify & list cars they can sell on Carmigo
  • Build a buyer profile for each dealer by identifying cars they are looking to buy
  • Build a healthy ecosystem of buyers and sellers for market
  • Coordinate with inspectors to make sure cars are inspected efficiently

Account Management (10%)

  • Track dealer activity on a monthly basis to ensure proper engagement 
  • Set monthly targets
  • Identify unengaged dealers
  • Log customer interactions in CRM 
  • Handle post-sale issues with operations including titles, transportation, arbitration

Who we are looking for

  • 2+ years automotive sales experience selling to car dealerships
  • Ability to sell in a short sales cycle without having built relationships
  • Ability to build relationships to increase sales with same customer
  • Humble and hungry
  • A self-starter that is motivated to meet goals without much supervision
  • High energy
  • Ability to interact with tech proficiently
  • Automotive wholesale experience, franchise dealership experience preferred

The Intermediate Software Engineer will have a unique opportunity to help grow an early stage tech company and will be exposed to our entire tech stack.  This position will enhance your leadership skills and push your engineering abilities to the next level.
